Mike Gutierrez is a vintage sports autograph and memorabilia specialist with experience dating back to the 1970s. Notably, he authenticated all the sports autograph material from the Barry Halper Collection sold by Sotheby's in 1998. Through Butterfield & Butterfield, he appraised the Mark McGwire 70th home run baseball for the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company that sold in auction for $3 million. Additionally, he compiled the auction of all memorabilia from the Bruce Lee Estate and appraised former NFL commissioner Pete Rozelle's estate. Mike also has the distinction of appraising Muhammad Ali's estate of sports memorabilia and portions of Baseball Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax..

His working background as a young adult started in the entertainment field at CBS Television City, working on scores of television sitcoms, variety shows, and specials. From there he moved to Universal Studios where he became a television development executive in charge of prime-time series. At ABC TV, he worked as an executive in dramatic series development, meeting with writers and producers, developing new series ideas. He adds Hollywood and Entertainment memorabilia as areas of great interest and expertise.

With a lifetime passion for music, he began playing guitar in his teens. He has a fine collection of Fender, Rickenbacker, Gibson, and other noted brands of guitars and basses.
